Crepes

I am Anuradha Bose. Food is a matter of passion for me. But I am not a chef. I just love to cook and bake. And I come from a long line of women , for whom the kitchen is the heart of the home .

Week day breakfasts, are not a very delightful experience in our house if my daughters have school and my husband has to go to work. This is the time I have the most severe food battles with my daughters , most probably my neighbors can hear me yelling and my husband has to bring up some totally unrelated , insignificant and unimportant topic for a discussion.

I try to change this scenario over the Weekends and holidays. So breakfasts are a very special time in our family if its a week end or a holiday.

Whether its the sour cream cupcakes just out of the oven,

Or the ghee drenched Paratha,

               Whether its a sandwich toast,

Or a bowl of simply delicious poha,

Whether its a besan chilla just waiting to be dipped in some yogurt or mint chutney,

Or some chocolate and strawberry crepes.

My husband, my daughters and me around the kitchen table, eating , laughing and making some kitchen table memories.  Breakfast couldn't be any better.
